The easiest way is for the relative to set it up, with their parent’s phone in hand. On the start screen, tap “Setting up Vínculo for a relative?” and follow the steps. When you finish, the phone is ready to use.
If the day’s deadline passes without a check-in, Vínculo automatically alerts the family and trusted contacts. It works even if the phone is off or the app isn’t open, because the check happens on our servers.
It instantly alerts the relatives who have the app, and also alerts the trusted contacts in order: first a notification (if they have the app) and, if nobody responds, a text. With Vínculo PRO there is also an automated phone call, and a text and a call when the daily “I’m OK” isn’t confirmed. If a contact doesn’t answer, it moves on to the next one.
Check in iPhone Settings → Notifications → Vínculo that notifications are on. We also recommend allowing “Critical Alerts”: that way important alerts make a sound even when the phone is on silent or in a Focus mode.
No. Your location is only checked while the app is open, never in the background. More details in the privacy policy.
A text and an automated phone call on every alert if nobody responds in the app, unlimited trusted contacts with an alert order, medication reminders, scam alerts and a family overview with location, battery and whether they are at home. The family plan covers two people (for example, mum and dad) with a single payment.
Subscriptions are managed by Apple. On your iPhone, go to Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Vínculo. If you cancel, you keep PRO until the end of the period you have already paid for.
You can delete your account and all your data from within the app. You can also request it by email. Deleting your account does not cancel your Apple subscription: cancel it first in Settings.
Spanish, English and French. The app uses your iPhone’s language; you can change it just for Vínculo in Settings → Vínculo → Language.
